Helen Lopez grew up in South London in the 60′s and 70′s and after foundation at Chelsea School of Art moved North to Liverpool where she gained a Fine Art Degree in 1984.

After a short spell in the south of England, she moved to Anglesey where she has lived ever since. Lopez a renowned Anglesey Artist has exhibited extensively worldwide, and travelled to paint in many different places around the world.

Most recently she has taken her immediate surroundings ‘in the garden’  as inspiration.

Helen has also had her first book of poetry published by Shearsman Books, titled ‘Shift Perception’.

Favorite activities include knitting, walking the dog, gardening, hen keeping/watching, learning to sail and playing the trombone very badly.

Helen has three grown up children – Luis, Joe and Isabella Lopez Smith

and is married to Chris Gibbs.
